We cannot say enough good things about Shasta! We have known her for at least a year and three months. Our history started back in October 2020, when she assisted us in finding a rental property in Estero, Florida. The application process was particularly complicated and lengthy. I am writing you this note in regards to Shasta DeGraw, to share detail of the positive experience my wife and I had working with her on our home purchase in Estero FL. First, let me take a moment to share my initial FL home search experience, with another agent. This will provide some context. I started researching a second home in FL about a year ago. My search began in Southeast FL, as a business colleague referred me to a friend of his. This real estate agent was billed as "an experienced real estate agent, with 30 years of experience." I was told he was the best in his field. With this recommendation, I reached out. After explaining what I was looking for, this agent sent me some homes to review. I saw a couple which warranted a closer look, so I flew out to Fort Lauderdale (my primary residence is in MA).This agent met me at a nearby location to the airport, and we spent the day together looking at properties, and surrounding beaches. None of the homes were what I wanted. so he said he would send me others going forward. Over the course of the next 3-6 months, I had to email and call multiple times, chasing him to get any new listings. When I did, it was after multiple requests, and it felt very impersonal. He was definitely not showing an interest in earning my business. I was frustrated with the lack of help on his part.So I decided to expand my property search to Southwest, FL. I reached out to a friend, who's father owns a property in Naples. She did a quick search, and found Shasta. This was a day that changed me and my wife's direction for the better.Where do I start with Shasta - personable, warm, friendly, enthusiastic, professional. These are just a few words to describe Shasta. I flew in the night before, and Shasta met me out front of my hotel the next morning. She was early, and handed me a bound color packet, with all of the key criteria I expressed was most important to me, all side-by-side, so I could compare each of the properties. Shasta had a cooler of cold waters in the back seat of her car, so there was no need to stop for water during our busy first day together. Shasta earned my trust very quickly. My job profession is sales, so I can get a feel quickly for someone's character. It was obvious that Shasta is of the highest character, and I realized how fortunate I was. I was in GREAT hands.Shasta became a trusted advisor - more than a "salesperson". After finding a dream home, Shasta talked through scenarios with me, and we strategized on the negotiation required to seal the deal with the person selling the new construction property. Shasta was flexible on her portion of the sale, which I was grateful for, as this enabled me to stay within my budget.Buying a home presents many challenges. Shasta went ABOVE AND BEYOND her duties as a real estate agent. She was available through calls, texts, and email constantly, with fast response times. She did multiple walk-through's of the property before closing, providing updates on what still needed to be done post-inspection, and at our request she provided the names of furniture stores, insurance company, and a construction person. There are more things that Shasta did, like paying the small fee to have access to the nearby beach, so that I could see it. The list is too long to mention in this email, of the value Shasta provided.In closing, my wife and I have at least one other person very interested in purchasing a home in the Estero/Bonita Springs/Naples area. I've already told her she has to go through Shasta, because Shasta is incredible. This may only be the beginning of other interested friends of ours we send Shasta's way.
